An exceptionally active first quarter marked the beginning of 2026 for CONVIN, with the company delivering a series of scientific congresses in Greece while also maintaining a presence at one of Europe’s leading technology forums.

Congresses focused on scientific relevance
During the first quarter of the year, the company organized four specialized scientific events:
• The 20th Panhellenic Medical Congress on Obesity highlighted contemporary approaches to managing a condition that continues to place increasing pressure on healthcare systems, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary treatment.

• The congress Metabolic Bone Diseases – Literature Update 2026 translated the latest scientific evidence on osteoporosis and related conditions into clinical practice. A common thread across these events was their focus on specialized fields and the dissemination of up-to-date scientific knowledge.

Insights from the European Robotics Forum 2026
At the international level, CONVIN participated in the European Robotics Forum 2026 (ERF 2026), held in Stavanger, Norway, from March 23 to 27.
The forum is one of Europe’s key platforms for dialogue on robotics and artificial intelligence, bringing together researchers, industry leaders, and policy stakeholders. This year’s edition focused on AI-driven robotics, human–machine collaboration, and applications across sectors such as energy, maritime industries, and healthcare.

Looking ahead to ERF 2028

Athens has been selected to host the European Robotics Forum 2028 (ERF 2028), Europe’s leading robotics and artificial intelligence conference, marking a major international distinction for Greece’s scientific and innovation ecosystem.

The event, organized under the umbrella of the European robotics association euRobotics, brings together more than 1,500 researchers, engineers, industry leaders, policymakers, and technology innovators from across Europe each year. ERF serves as a key platform for collaboration and dialogue on the future of robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The successful Greek bid was led by CONVIN and representatives of the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation of the University of Patras, highlighting the country’s growing role as a dynamic technology and research hub. Hosting ERF 2028 is expected to strengthen international scientific collaboration, promote innovation, and generate significant economic and reputational benefits for Athens and Greece.
